Amanda writes the following about The Outsiders :

I think that outsiders is a wonderful book. It should real problems that all teenagers go through. Being liked or disliked or being poor or rich or just who u hang out with. And for kids that don't go through it, the outsiders gives a point of view that couldn't be better than going through those things yourself. I also think that the outsiders try to make a moral, and one of the morals is that what you like, how much money you have, where you live, or how you live that none of it makes you or your personality. I LOVED the outsiders there is no book and i mean no book like the outsiders the outsiders are real and it sets a real example. I think that S.E. Hinton went through a lot because the book is just retelling what she went through when she lived in Ok. and that it was like just different characters and maybe she told the story a little different than how it really happened but it was still a really really really good book.
