Karsin writes the following about Absolutely Normal Chaos :
I read the story Absolutely Normal Chaos, by Sharon Creech.
In the story there were many characters. Mary Lou Finney is a thirteen year old girl, who has had a huge crush on Alex Cheevey for a long time. Alex Cheevey becomes Mary Lo's boyfriend. Carl Ray is a seventeen year old boy that is very quiet. Mr. Furtz turns out to be Carl Ray's real father. Beth Ann is a fourteen year old girl that is boy crazy. Maggie is a seventeen year old girl and is Mary Lou's bratty big sister.
The story took place at Mary Lou's house, at the Easton pool, and at Carl Ray's farm. Mary Lou's house is where Alex Cheevey came to see Mary Lou. The Easton pool is s where Alex and Mary Lou go sometimes to hang out. At Carl Ray's farm, Mary Lou learned not to be selfish.
The story began when Carl Ray arrived at the Finney's house. Further in the story Alex Cheevey and Mary Lou became boyfriend and girlfriend. Near the end of the story Mr. Furtz died because of a major heart attack. Finally Carl Ray figured out that Mr. Furtz was his real father.
I enjoyed this book because it has some very funny parts that made me laugh out loud. I also enjoyed this book because it has some parts kept me on the edge of my seat. It was a good book for me becaue it was about a girl talking about her life.
I would recommend this book to girls because the story is about a girl's journal. I would also recommend this book to people who would like to read an interesting or funny book. The people who would enjoy this book the most are people ages eleven through fourteen.
