nicki writes the following about The Giver :
Sometimes it takes memories to change your thoughts about enverything. In The Giver by Lois Lowry, the author of Number The Stars, that's just how it is. Jonas , the main character, lives in a perfect world. A perfect world with no freedom. In Jonas's world, there is no no pain, no colors, no memories, until Jonas is selected to be the Receiver of Memories. The Receiver of Memories has memories of color, pain and love, where the other citizens haven't a clue of any of it. Jonas decides he wants to give the other people his memories, so they will know the real world. He plans out a shceme, but will he make it? Find out by reading The Giver, an interesting and extraordinary book.
I rated this book a 9 out of 10 because the ending wasn't so great;it kind of leaves you hanging. I wish the author would have told about what happens at the end. I recommend this book to readers who like books that make them wonder.
