A.E :-) writes the following about The Giver :

The beggining was slow. The middle had the excitement, but the ending was a dissapointment. This book is about a boy named Jonas (the main character) living in a so called "perfect" world. The book is also sad, you'll know once you find out what "being released" means. Once you start reading you can't put it down,although it had a cliff-hanger ending (you wanted to know more.)
