This book is GREAT! It really explains itself but reading it with an entire class brings alot of questions! Many of them we could not answer.=o. The ending could have said a little bit more because it leaves all the readers thinking so you don't really know what happens at the end.illustrations could really help elaborate the book more because knowing how the characters look can help you since in this community is same it would help you picture the setting. but this really shows that noone or nothing is perfect!!!! Lois Lowry really expresses how Jonas thinks and feels about sameness. she uses great vocabulary. but she should have explained what happened at the end. Since the chapters have no names it makes me think that since they have no memories they couldnt name the chapters since they don't no anything. Also i did not understand how in the rules it says they cant lie but the nurturer does by saying release is good and they dress them up all pretty and take them elsewhere to another community
