Jose Fernandez writes the following about The Giver :

I thought the book was good until I read the ending which I did not like.In the beginning of the story i got excited about what was going to happen and I thought the ending would answer all of the questions I had when I was reading the book.I mostly enjoyed the book but I hope that if she (Lois Lowry) writes another book she could think about what questions people would have when they start the book so she would be able to answer them at the end.
