Prez Sef writes the following about Hatchet :
If you are looking for a mind capturing and adventures book, Hatchet by: Gary Paulsen fits that description perfectly. I would honestly have to say that this is one of my favorite books. Hatchet is a story about a teenager, Brian, whose parents recently divorced. After an almost fatal plane crash Brian finds himself fighting for his survival in the woods.
On his way to the airport, Brian Robeson was given a hatchet by his mother. Little did he know its importance later on in the story? While on the plane ride to Brian?s dad Brian noticed that the plane driver began to shake violently then seconds later the driver stopped moving, he was dead.

I really believe you would like this because it fits into many categories because it is very adventures, suspenseful and still realistic. The author of the book, Gary Paulsen is known for his many adventures book many of them, which I have read. You might know if a movie called Snow Dogs starring Cuba Gooding JR. that book was based on a book I am reading now called Dogsong.
