edgardo....copiague middle school writes the following about The Giver :

The Giver was about a community that had alot of rules.Jonas, the main character of the story was picked to be the Receiver of memory.The giver showed all the memories and thoughts.In the middle of the book Jonas saw his father in a camera and found out what release was.His father would stick a needle in the baby's head and kill them.At the end Jonas took Gabrielle to a better place.
