Casey V. writes the following about New Rider :

The Saddle Club is a series of books about girls who love horses. Three girls formed a club, there are two rules: Rule number one is that all members have to be horse crazy. Rule number two is that they have to be willing to help each other out with problems with boys and split their work evenly. All members except Stevie, have horses. So Stevie has to borrow a horse for lessons at the riding barn called Pine Hollow. There is one problem for The Saddle Club and that is the richest girl in town, Veronica Diangalo. She owns a horse named Garnet and she is boarded at Pine Hollow. They never get along. I would recommend this book for any girl or even a boy who loves and cares about horses as much as I do!
