The Giver Review
A novel about interdependence. A great one to show the truth. Jonas was a boy living in a perfect world. He was an Eleven, about to be a Twelve. He was about to assigned to his life’s work. There was a problem though, he didn’t know what his assignment was going to be. Most children already had an idea of what they were going to be assigned. It was all determined by their volunteer hours that started when you become an Eight. In fact he wasn’t assigned at all, but selected. He didn’t know it yet but this was the start of his life. Lois Lowry takes you through an exciting adventure in the life of a young but clever boy named Jonas. You will laugh, cry, and maybe be a little bit frightened for Jonas in Lois Lowry’s arousing novel The Giver.
