Derrick writes the following about The Giver :

The giver is about a girl jonas who keep memories,and she cant take living in her city because she found that she is being lied to her whole life. So she takes her baby brother gabreil. And takes her to elsewear. In there city everthing is the same.There is no mirros, no snow,and you do not pick the baby name, you look on a list in the month to see the name of the baby.
