Aly writes the following about The Giver :

If you read The Giver you might have a different opinion than me. If you love books like this, you might have loved it but people who dont like this type of book, might have loved the book as well. I am not a fan of Science fiction or fantasy but this book was was like no other. It was BRILLIANT! I think it was one of a kind. It got people to think the other way about things. Once you were done reading one chapter you needed to go to the next. You can't stop it's that good. The character Jonas, his personality was great. The words that he said made you feel like you were him. The book was real. It was also very emotional. Since they didn't know what anything was, elephants, love or being hurt,it was a change to read something like this. I enjoy this book and I wouldn't mind reading this intelligent book again.
