cy cunningham writes the following about The Giver :

The Giver overall was a pretty decent book some things i think they could've done better in this book is to explain some of the other charecters better. THe book really gives good descriptiions of Jonas and the Giver, but just briefly touches on everyone else one minute there in the story but then u never here about them again such as asher and fiona.IN the Giver lois really did a nice job on thinking of and describing the giver and jonas. I think this would be your type of books if u have a really good imagination and like fantasy books.So i'd say if u have a chance to read this book
