I think that this is a great book and Pony boy is a great kid. Considering the fact that S.E. Hinton was only 16 years old when she wrote this book, I would say that she probley went through alot just like alot of kids today do. This is a great book to read to help understand just how somebody else you really don't know, but you do know has a tough life, just might be living right now.
