Holiday writes the following about The Giver :

The giver is a good book that is full of emotions. Some of the emotions you might encounter are happy and kind of funny. While other times you just want to cry. The only part I did not like was the ending because there was none. But my favorite part is where the climax is. That is where the story makes you want to cry. Jonas, the main caracter, is a smart person because he knew alot about the past. If I had to create a new town I would choose to make it with Jonas. But all in all the story was pretty good. There are two sequels to this book, Gahering Blue, and The Messanger, and I am reading the second right now.
