ELLEN!! writes the following about The Giver :

I think this book was one of the best books I have read in awhile. I thought it wasn't going to be good at all, but I really think it was one of the best books i have ever read. This book i will never forget. the biggest disapointment is when it ends. Louis really pulls you into it that by the end, you want to keep reading it but the book is over. there should really be a seires of Jonas and his troubles. Jonas becomes faced with the problem of becomeing a "12" and now he finds out what his job is going to be. He is very surprised by the job that he has been chosen to do, and is faced with many problems that he has never faced before. You have to read about how he gets out of it!
