Jordan Liscio writes the following about The Bungalow Mystery :

Most of the story takes place in Twin Lakes. Nancy Drew, her dad, and her friend, Don, try to help Laura Pendleton discover who stole the money and jewels that Laura had inherited. It turns out that thieves named Stumpy and Alma Dowd, Joe Jackson and Mr. Frednich had plotted to rob Laura. After doing so, they hid out in a bungalow by the lake that was supposed to be empty. Nancy kept noticing strange things about the bungalow. She had a hunch it wasn't empty. Sure enough, Nancy caught the thieves hiding out with the loot, and Laura got all of her inheritance back. I would recommend this story because I really enjoyed reading it and trying to solve the mystery. I liked uncovering the clues with Nancy. The story had a lot of suspense.
