Kaila Cuddigan writes the following about The Giver :

I loved this book. For class, we were reading this book, and I had went ahead because I could not stop reading it. I do agree that it is hard to understand this book, but it doesn't take much to actually understand it. It is boring at the beginning of the book, but as you read further you will find that it is a very exciting book. I would encourage others to read this book, it is very fun to read than most books I've read. I don't really like reading, actually, but this book was the best. =)
