Matthew Good writes the following about The Funny Little Woman :
A little woman who became the richest woman in Japan. The wicked Onis were making the women cook for them. She left with the magic paddle from the onis and got in the boat and began to row away. The Onis drank up all of the water and there was no water left in the river so she was stuck in mud. When they began to laugh the Oni spit out the water and she was able to get away. She went home and became the richest person in Japan.
