Diamond writes the following about The Mississippi Trail 1955 :

This book was a great book. It helped me to understand what really happen to Emmett Till how a white boy helps to fins out what really happen to him inorder to help out in the case of this young black boy. I am a huge fan of black history and when i saw this book i was already to read it because this is what my school is like we are so spearted from the different people in my school. I would really lie for kids to read this book so that they would understand what it was like for a black person back then.
