John writes the following about The Outsiders :
Hi! My name is John. I read a book called the Outsiders. Written by S.E. Hinton. I liked the book and I would give it 4 out of 5 stars. There are many sad parts and there are great characters.

These are some of the sad parts. I think it is sad that Ponyboy and his friends are poor and that Ponyboys parents are dead. It?s sad that the greasers get beat up by rich socs. It is also sad that Dally and Johnny die.

I have two favorite characters in The Outsiders. They are Johnny and Ponyboy. Johnny is one of my favorite characters because he is quiet and nervous. Johnny is also nice. Ponyboy is my other favorite character because he is nice and smart.

This is what I liked about the book. I liked the beginning when the gang saved Ponyboy from getting beat up. I think it was good when Johnny tells Dally to stop annoying the girls. I think it was cool when Johnny saved Ponyboy from drowning. It was good when Ponyboy realizes that Darry loves him.

I Think you should read The Outsiders because there are good characters, many sad parts, and there are lots of good parts in the book. I give this book a four out of five stars. I hope you do read this book. I recommend this book to everyone
