Amber writes the following about The Outsiders :
The Outsiders is a very great book. The Outsiders is about people that want to fit in and have all the things that the soc?s have so that is why they start all the commotions and all the fights. The reason why this book is so great is because the author? S.E Hinton wrote the book so well. She made it so interesting, so I was able to understand the characters better.

My favorite character in this book is Soda Pop because everyone knows him as the nice, cute guy that works at the gas station. He is not the type of guy that runs around doing drugs and getting in trouble by the fuzz. He is the kind of guy that works and helps out his family. Soda is really nice and he cares about his family and helps them when they need to be helped.

The part that I liked most about this book is the way that Pony boy and Johnny ran into the burning church to save those little kids. That was very nice to do. when someone is in danger and they need help. I don?t think that the boys would like that if they where in that building and they where burnt down. They went in there and helped them. After a while the boys where known as the heroes and that really made them happy, even though they knew they killed someone. Now people knew that they were not that bad because they saved someone?s life.

The thing that I thought that was most funny is when Two bit walks up to the soc when Pony boy is talking to randy and says funny stuff about his pants and does not stop making fun of him and he says guffy things like ?look at this kid he is wearing high wires.? And he does not stop until Ponyboy gets him to stop.

The Outsiders was a very good book because the author, S.E Hinton wrote it so good. She made it so that I could understand it. A lot of people would like this book because it is such a good book. When people read it they will really get into it and not want to stop reading it. If I were to rate this book I would give it a 4 out of five. It is really good and I do think that anyone that reads this that is going to read this book is going to like it and they are going to want to read it over and over.
