snickerdoodle writes the following about The Giver :

I think that this book is the most amazing book EVER if you read between the lines it really potrays a message that life can be painfull but you just have to stick through it for the sake of other people. The ending is a bit confusing like i had to tell my mom and my sis the ending just so i could under stand it myself. This book also protrays the message that sometimes to figure out what you want or whats right you have to venture out of your own personal boundraies.(or the boundries set by ohter people in this case)
