meli writes the following about Hatchet :

this book is about a boy named Brian. his parents were divorced the secret was that his mom was with another man. Brian was supposed to see his dad in Canada. and while he was on the plane the pilot had a hart attack and he had to survive in the Canadian woods. he learned how to survive. he had to learn to make fire,shelter and had to hunt for food and have the right amount of wood to keep the fire 'alive'.and he had terrible time in the wood but he had survive.
