Christian Stout writes the following about The Giver :
A world without colors? Who would have thought? The Giver is a good book and is great for people with a wide imagination. I beleive the author's purpose for writing this book was to show that all communitys are different and occupy different kinds of people. The author ended the resolution great. It leaves you hangiing and wanting to know what happens.
The kind of community in the book is set-up so almost everything works in your favor. Choices are not made often and that doesn't teach people from there mistakes.
