Jordan Cannon writes the following about Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone (Book 1) :
Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone, by J.K. Rowling, is unlike any other book I have read. Rowling catches your attention in the first few chapters as she writes about the life of Harry Potter and the Dursley family. The book only gets better as you learn that Harry is a famous wizard who will be attending Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry where he discovers his unknown talents in the magic world. Harry makes many friends throughout his first year, and has many adventures as he learns about the sorcerer's stone and his parents past. I gave this book a 9.2 because it was a very interesting story that I could not put down. If I could change one thing about this book I would make it for more mature and older audiences, rather than for younger kids. The illustrations were great and helped conveyed events in each chapter. J.K. Rowling did a great job writing this book and I look forward to reading the rest of the series in the future.
