Overall The Giver was a good book. I learned what a Utopia is and how tough life would be living in Jonas' community. The ending is a clifhanger so readers get ready! One thing I really enjoyed about this book is all the memories that the Giver gave to Jonas. Hearing a variety if them kept me alive and wanting to read more. I would recommend this book to anyone looking for a book to read over the summer. Its not too long and always has you standing on your toes. When reading this book look for ups and downs. Be careful, there always shocking! After reading The Giver written by Lois Lowry I would consider reading other books by her. The Giver was an awesome read and I truly enjoyed it!!
