Rachel P writes the following about The Giver :

I thought this book was very different because it was a lot different than the world today. In the book I iked how the author made up a completly different world for Jonas. At the end, Ididn't like how Lois Lowry ended with a cliffhanger. In this book Ithought the most interesting character was The Giver because he gave Jonas all the memories from what has happened the past because in their community no one knows that happened in the past or about anything else. I would like to read other books by this author.
