The best word to describe this book is strict. There are so many rules that must be followed. What I did like is how everyone kid had a number and when you get to tweleve, you recieved your life assignment. I didn't like how everything was in black and white and only Jonas could see color. I thought Jonas was the most interesting charcter because he was the main character and he was so different compared to everyone else. Like how he could see color, he could feel pain, and he could lie which no one else could. I learned that I would not want to live in a Utopia. I learned that my life could be worse and that Utopia doesn't mean it's such a perfect world. I would consider reading other books by this author but I actually don't know any other ones. The Giver is a strict book about Utopia which isn't that perfect.
