Audrey writes the following about The Giver :

In this book, The Giver, a young boy named Jona and his family are living in a small, organized city. as Jona's story goes on throughout the book there are many twists turns and very exciting moments. during Jona's roller coaster of a life, a new "family member" comes along. This is a new experience for Jona and he grows a relation ship with this baby, Gabe. When in this community, after 6th grade you get a job, many are small many are big. Jona gets the biggest. This job lets him brake ALL the rules. He can now lie, question others, and he must be told the truth at all times. After he gets these new rules his father has to tell him what will brake his heart. This book has the most exciting cliff hangers and chapters you will ever read.
