writes the following about The Giver :

The main character of this book is Jonas. He is different than other kids in his community. Even though his community is closed off from the world. Jonas is almost twelve and in his community the elders pick your job for you. Jonas is not sure what he will be and if he will like it. But when he is picked for a job he has never heard people look at him differently. Jonas experiences a lot of feelings cold, hot, and pain. He also know more about the people’s way of life and things that the community doesn’t have A lot of secrets are revealed about the community. But one thing rattles him. It is so rattling he tries to escape. My opinion of the book was that it was very well written and that it made a very vivid mental image in my head about what was happening. Marianne’s opinion of the book was that it had brought excitement and foreshadowing about what was going to happen. I would recommend this book to others because it is a good suspense book and that it is a very interesting plot. Marianne would recommend this book to anyone because anyone can read it, I think people would like to read The Giver book. %Pr
