yesenia ortiz writes the following about Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone (Book 1) :
I read Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone, by J.K Rolling , and I noticed the theme is that one has to risk their life for others. The first element that demonstrates this theme is Harry going out after the stone before Voldemort gets it, and saving Hogwarts and everyone else .On page 270 Harry is going, with his invisibility coat , to the trap door, where the three headed dog is guarding it.He needs to pass all the traps to get to the stone .It connects with the theme because he has no choice than to go after the stone and save everyone. Also on page 283 , Ron has to make sacrifices and has to be broken in wizard chess, so that Harry can get to the other side and stop Snape and Voldemort from getting the stone.I recommend this book because it is a really good book. Also , because one will feel like you are in the book. It is great life lesson for everyone because one will have to do that, in there life some day , and one will be glad they did it because it might turn out better than they think it will, just like Harry Potter.
