A. J. writes the following about Nightjohn :
This book takes place in the 1930s in the South. Nightjohn, a black man, wants to teach a girl to read without getting caught.

The book Nightjohn is a good book to read because it`s a historical fiction book. You would like this book if you like some action and some mean people! I would recommend this book to people who like books that take place during slavery.
