ulkyyulk writes the following about The Outsiders :
The Outsider
The Outsiders is probably the best book I have ever read.I like this book because it always left you on a cliff hanger at the end of the chapter, and it was always very intense. It was set in the 50?s, it is about two gangs, is the Greaser and they are the poor, no good people. The Socs are the big rich kids one that hate the greasers. The main character and his friend are walking to a park at night to blow off some steam when Socs came up and started talking junk. They tried to drown Ponyboy, but Johnny gets out his switchblade and kills one of the Socs! So they have to go to an abandoned church and stay there for a while till the cops settle down. Then the church caught on fire and a board fell on Johnny and he got putt in the hospital. To find out what happens next you have to read the book.
