ShortiewitBRAINS writes the following about The Outsiders :

The Outsiders by: S.E. Hinton is a very thoughtful book and is worth reading. It is about brotherhood and staying together no matter what. It starts with Ponyboy exiting the movie theater and starts walking down the street. A car pulls up and Socs start to beat up Ponyboy . Darry and Two-Bit come to his rescue.
Johnny is the second youngest teenager in the gang and he lives an abusive life. He?s the pet and just tags along. At the end Johnny, Ponyboy, and Dally get burned from saving kids. Johnny dies, Dally can?t take it and kind of commits suicide by robbing a store. The Greasers win the rumble against the Socs. I really like this book and would recommend it to others.
