matt ethington writes the following about The Outsiders :

I read this book by S.E. Hinton called the Outsiders it is a good book.It takes a look at some teenage boys growing up in a town called tulsa,and on the outskirts of the town a gang hangs out there they are called the greasers,and on the other side of town there is another gang called the socs.Ponyboy Curtis and his brothers are greasers and Ponyboy's brothers names are darry and sodapop,yes those are there real names.but anyway ponyboy runs of with his friend Jonny to a abandoned church in the country and stay for a week and live on balony and stock stanck water so Ponyboy's brothers friend comes and takes them to get some real food and when they come back to the church is on fire they thought that it was one of there cigerets got to a bad peice of wood.then someone that was at the church said there we a couple childeren in there so Jonny and Ponyboy go in and try to find the kids and they got them out but Jonny suffers bad burns and a brocken back and died.dally was Jonnys best friend and robs a store and the cops shot him and the next night they have a big fight against the socs.the book was a wonderful book with some violence in it but anyone and everyone should read this book it is a good time filler.
