this book is a wonderful story of a group of greasers that can't seem to be able to find there way to stay out of trouble with the law. when they end up killing a guy because he was trying to kill them for they were supoably hitting on his girl friend. ponyboy and johnny the ones who killed him had decided to go hide out for a while becaus ethey were scared of what might happen if they were to tell the police the truth. they got sick and johnny ended up dieing. it is on of those tear jerking books that you can not not cry when you read it. if you really imagine what they are going through you have to think about all of the things they were thinking when they did what they did. they ended up thoseing to friends but they also grow closer together becaus of the fact that they were all eachother had left and they had to face. you can not not fell what ponyboy and the other greasers are feelign after they lose there deariset and closest friends. ponyboy is very into sports and keeping his grades up. in the end of this book you like you have to get the rest of the story. lke s.e. hinton did not tell oyu the full story. you feel as if you need to understand what they were going through a little bit better. as if it was happening to you. if you haen't read this book yet i would. it teaches you about life and understanding your self and others. so read it. it could help myou out in life and you not even know it.
