Little Bit writes the following about Out of the Dust (Newbery Medal Book) :

I enjoyed reading Out of the Dust. I liked the book very much, it was very interesting.For example the part were her mom got burnt by fire and Billie Jo tried to save her life but her mother got burnt to much and Bille Jo's hand were burnt to. I think the theme was that you will learn from your mistakes. I also think that it could also be that if something bad happens that something good will follow it. The setting was decribed really well. The author really decribed this book. I could really see in my mind the setting of the book. The point of view was third person, and the author really decribed some characters , but she didn't decribe other characters enough. For example some characters that wern't decribed well were the mom and the brother that died,and some that she described well were the dad and Billie Jo. I think this book was really thought out and was really great. I think that everybody would enjoy this book.I really recommend this book to others.
