The book is about a boy named Pony and his gang they are known as the Greasers the way you know they are the greasres is that they have greasy hair. The story is mainly about his enimeis the Socs they are rich mean kids. johnny kills one of the socs to save Ponyboys life they to darry for help and he gives them directions, money, and a gun to Windrexville to stay in a church to hide they leave the church to go buy some food and the church caught on fire there was some kids in the church and ponyboy and johnny save them darry told them to forget the kids and get out. Johnny dies ponyboy doesn't want to believe that he is dead.Also one of his other friend dies dally he dies from a gun shot. At the end they are all they got so they got to stick together.
