Aaron Mertz writes the following about The Outsiders :

This book is great! The characters are really portrayed as the "good guys." They all care about one another and never leave someone behind. My favorite character is Ponyboy because he really expresses his views on what happens. I especially like Mickey Mouse, Soda's horse.The bad part is that everyone dies. Bob and Dally, plus Johnny. There is a lot of grief when you read the story. This story gets a great 10 for having so much passion.
