Dawn writes the following about The Polar Express :

This story is one that my 3 year old requests to read almost every night no matter the season. It is about a beautiful steam train that takes children to the North Pole on Christmas Eve. At the North Pole the children meet Santa Claus who hands out the first gift of Christmas. The illustrations are beautiful and the story encourages everyone to believe in the excitement and mystery of Santa Claus.
