chey writes the following about The Giver :

This book was very good for readers who have a hard time finding that "perfect" book. It has become my favorite book and i've read it over and over again. It's the kind of book that you read again and again and still you find other components of the story new to you. The Utopian society in it is so precise, I'd almost believe there is really a village with such perfect attributes. Imagine a world with no hills, no snow, no rain, no pain, no memories or history and strangest of all, no death!
