I rated The Outsiders a seven because its a good and touching story. The Outsiders shows that not all people that seem bad by their clothes and by the way they do things doesn't mean that they are a bad person and you can't be their friend. I think this book promotes that understanding and kindness can overcome prejudice.The Outsiders promotes this because some of the greasers and some of the socs learn each others problems and start to understand them and they dont just judge each other by clothes and grades.
