I believe this book is one of the best books ever! I can understand what the guys in there are talking about! It's not my FAVORITE book.. but it's one of them. Every situation is so discriptive and captivating! The author did a wonderful job describing the characters and events. She also used good conversation starters. Instead of having a boring, blah conversation, she makes them interesting and compelling. She makes it so you can actually imagine the people in your mind saying and doing theses things and it just makes you want to keep reading and never put it down until your done! But, I wouldn't reccomend it for children of the younger ages, like pre-teens and under, because it might confuse them. They wouldn't understand what kinds of things the guys are going through, unlike teens, because we are just going through the same stuff! I highly reccomend it for teens who are bored with the usual stories being told, and that want to try something better.
In the book it describes how the Greasers are steriotyped by just the way the dress and people don't give them their chance to learn how good of a person one might be. But, someone sees a Soc and they're madras shirts and fast cars, and think that they're just good guys and are so ... even when THEY are the people that did something wrong. Everything is put to blame on the Greasers, which is the situation for a lot of people.
