I rated The Outsiders a 9, because it shows how things really go on between upper class and lower class people. In the book Ponyboy goes into a burning church to save a few kids who were in the churh.When Johnny sees Pony run into the church, he ran after him. After Pony and Johnny got all the kids out of the church,Pony started out through a window that Johnny had opened to get the kids out.When Ponyboy got out of the church he heard Johnny scream but before he could go after him Dally clubbed Pony on the back.Next thing he knew he as being bounced around in an ambulance.He asked what was going on ad where Johnny and Dally were and if they were hurt.The guy in the back of the ambulance told him Johnny might have a broken back because a burning timber fell on his back and Dally got burnt because he saved Johnny.Pony asked why Dally hit him Across the back and he told him "because you were on fire, and if you didn't have the jacket on you would probaly be dead. I think this shows loyalty is a necessary quaility in a human relationship.
