8603 writes the following about The Outsiders :
This book is defintely the best book I have ever read. It's conflicts are so realistic and believable. It's defintely how teenagers act and respond to kids who are different than themselves. Every event that takes place in the book is very interesting. It would pull you into the setting as if you were there. It's one of those books you just can't put the book down. I believe that understanding and kindness can overcome predujice is true in this book, because when Randy (guy who is part of a rich gang called the Socs) confronted Ponyboy (guy who is part of a poor gang called the Greasers, which both groups are enemy's) didn't fight, they talked and realized the only difference between them is Randy's rich and Pony's poor. After that, they became good friends. So I give this book a 9.5.
