8402 writes the following about The Outsiders :
The author S.E. Hinton did a great job at description, you always new how the characters felt, what the characters was wearing, and where the characters were I feel the incident at the fountain was the main plot of the book. It tought both the greaseres and the socs a lesson. Like at the GX when Ryan asked Ponyboy of he could talk to him, i thought he was going to beat him up or something like that for Bob, but instead he talked to him and told him that he didn't want to go to the ble because he was sick of all the fighting. I would recomend this book to young s. This book does a great job showing people how life was in the 60's, and it shows people that life is not always easy.
