Review for the Outsiders ?the book?
The Outsiders was an amazing book and for me to say that, that?s saying a lot because I usually don?t like reading. The book is about three brothers and their friends, they call themselves greasers. They come in conflict with Socs or the Westside rich kids. The youngest boys Ponyboy and Johnny get into some trouble in the book and have to get out of it fast. I would recommend this book to other kids because it teaches you not only about friendship and family, but also about trust, and the differences people have.
If I had to rate the book the Outsiders I would give it a 9, because all though it was an amazing book there were still some moments when it was dull or ?too emotional?. Some things I loved most about the book was the plot, because it kept you intoned with the story and made you feel like you were really there. Also some moments in the book I liked were when Ponyboy finally understands that Darry does love him and he would probably die if anything happened to him. Also the characters in the book are amazingly real and are very easy to relate to or so I think.
I think that the writer S.E. Hilton was very in tuned when he wrote this book because the characters are so realistic. He says things like when he makes Johnny tell the nurse he doesn?t want to see his mother that could be something a real teenager would really say. I think they knew what they wanted to write and wrote it to make sense.
I really hope that you will read this book because even if you don?t like it, in the end even if you don?t think you got anything out of this book you really did and you will probably refer back to it! I hope you read the Outsiders and I hope you enjoyed it as much as I did!
