Jessi writes the following about The Giver :

This is a good book. It explains and gives details about what could happen in a 'perfect' society. The author shows that the government tries to hide the truth from everybody. This society is so 'perfect' they don't even see colors. Though the author kind of leaves us hanging at the end, this is an excellent read. The author is awesome this a a beautifully written book!
