Amber writes the following about The Outsiders :
I am going to tell you about the book The Outsiders. I will tell you about the main characters and more. The story takes place in a little town. It is divided in half. Greasers (poor kids) on the east side and Socs (rich kids) on the west side. The Socs would jump the Greasers for fun. That?s why the Greasers could not walk down the streets at night alone. The main characters are Ponyboy, Johnny, Soda, Dally, Steve, Two-Bit, and Darry. They are all one big gang. They are all Greasers. Ponyboy, Soda, and Darry are all brothers. Darry is the oldest, Sodas the middle, and Ponys the youngest. Their parents died in a car accident. So Darry takes care of his brothers. Soda dropped out of high school and Pony gets all good grades in school. I like this book because it is one of the very few books that I could not put down. You never know whats going to happen next that?s why it is so exciting. I would rate this book a 10. I hope my report has inspired you to read this book. It is really good because it tells you the consequences for getting into a lot of trouble. I would not change any thing about this book.
